Are you growing up(maturing) or growing older (aging)?

I watched the two men argue and one of them said to the other "grow up! You are growing old but You aren't acting your age!" then I sat down to think about the two things- growing up and growing older. I realized that truly, growing old is mandatory and growing up is optional. "We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing" that's a quote I stumbled upon. I know of four secrets to staying young, being happy, and achieving success.
1. You have to laugh and find humor every day.
2. You've got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die. We have so many people walking around who are dead and don't even know it!
3. Ignore things trying to be obstacles and try not to have regrets.
4. Create time for God, yourself and others.
"We do not stop growing up because we are old; we stop growing up because we feel ourself getting old" that's another quote I found. I know four secrets to growing up too.
1. Learn to be independent.
2. Learn to make your own decisions.
3. Accept corrections and criticism from others.
4. Talk less, say more!
Now there is a huge difference between growing older and growing up. Growing up means learning by your mistakes but still young enough to do them again. Growing old on the other hand means just thinking about those mistakes and wishing you could correct them. For instance, I am twenty years old and if I lie in bed for one full year and don't do any productive thing, I will still turn twenty-one years old.
My Sister is thirty-one years old; if she stays in bed for a year
and never do anything she will turn thirty-two. Anybody can
grow older. That doesn't take any talent or ability. But growing up is a different story. To grow up you need to start making your own decisions and not running to people all the time for help. You need to stop being a parasite who must depend on something to survive. Growing up works with Maturity and until you can start doing things yourself; you still need a lot of growing up to do! So are you growing up or just growing older? I ofte ask myself that and I think I am both growing up and growing older.

  1. Am doing both too

  2. I am growing up, not sure about growing old

  3. I am aging which is compulsory... And am sure am also maturing
