Your Phone Or Your Relationship

Have you ever thought of the regular things you do that are worse than cheating on your partner with someone else?
I don't know if you have, but I have and I was surprised at what I found out!

You wake up in the morning, check your schedule and notice you have a lot to do but little time to do them. In all this, you still decide to squeeze out time to say a quick hello to your partner through call or text message. This serves as two reminders: You want the other to know they are the first thing on your mind. And, more importantly, they need to know that they are your priority regardless of how stressful or busy your day may be.
This may sound so perfect, but is it a reality?

Now, the pattern is something else.
Instead of the above, you pick your phone, log into Instagram or Facebook, nosing into everyone else’s life and relationship. You only remember to say hello when you see a notification or post from the other!
Its too bad that some relationships today lack direction! Some people date but don't know what that mean anymore. Some see it as hanging out once or twice a month, some prefer texting all day, others try to define their own. It may be cool from the surface but something is missing! ,

We experience a lack of communication, attention, passion, intimacy and even lack of love.
Technology today is gradually making physical communication unnecessary!

Have you tried finding out what’s causing relationships to falter at the rate they are doing now?
Relationships thrive on communication. Our most intimate emotions are reserved for the person we love, so how is it acceptable to never show them?
We’ve accepted so many unacceptable things: sitting at the dinner table with our phones out, arguing over text, publishing every minute of our lives on social media networks. Why are we okay with this and all the communication shortcuts that have become so common?

Okay, you’ve given your heart to someone and you always try to make that person happy but you have to beg for their attention!
You sit back and watch this person post status or pictures updates about crazy things just to get likes and comments from others but can't sit and talk with you for an hour without reaching for their phones!
This type of cheating causes much more damage than that of having someone else!

I think relationships today need to be moved to another level.Even if it means bringing back the old fashioned style!
You need to take a minute to tell him or her that they are cute! Call or text just to say “Get dressed in 30 minutes. I’m picking you up and taking you somewhere” even if you have nowhere in mind, you both can go to an open place just to sit and laugh and comment about things passing by!

I asked some people how they have always envied their relationships to be and a lot of people said the same thing- The days of holding hands, opening the doors, sending flowers  and notes should be upgraded and practiced now.
We have to be children when it comes to love. We have to be vulnerable and free. That can’t happen when we’re preoccupied with the details of everyone else’s lives on social media networks!
Focus on each other, put your phone down, and dial into what’s in front of you.
Make those posts and pictures you want to post on social media and tell it to one another before publishing it to the world.
If you do this, you would be amazed at the results you would get!
Try it, its so much fun!
