How to Tighten Sagging Skin Under Eyes

Sagging skin is a common sign of aging, due to the loss of your skin’s elasticity. The skin around your eyes, including your eyelids, can be especially prone to loosening and drooping with age, because the skin in this area is very thin. Loose skin on the eyelids can be a cosmetic concern to some, and a medical threat to others, especially if the dropping interferes with normal vision.

Facial exercises, anti-aging creams and cosmetic procedures can all help tighten the loose skin on your eyelids. Here are some other things you can try:
1. Use an astringent under your eyes:
For quick results, use an astringent on your under eye area daily. Astringents are applied to the surface of your skin, and they naturally keep your skin tight. They also tighten pores and control oil.
For a natural astringent, use this parsley and peppermint astringent recipe or use lemon juice or witch hazel. Lemon juice can lighten your skin, so use with caution.

2. Cucumbers naturally tighten and firm under eye skin:

The juice can also refresh your skin and tighten pores. Use this on puffy under eyes and fine lines around your eyes or anywhere on your face.
Wash, peel, and grind half of a cucumber. Squeeze out the juice and apply to problem areas.  Let it dry before rinsing with plain water.
You can also use this cooling cucumber tonic recipe daily or cucumber moisturizing mask once a week.

3. Baking soda naturally tightens skin under eyes:

Is there anything baking soda can’t do?  Baking soda not only cleans your house, but it also improves your skin.  It naturally scrubs and tightens your skin by sloughing off dead skin cells.
Make a paste with baking soda and water and spread on your under eye area or your entire face. Let dry and rinse well.

4. Egg whites can be used to firm skin under eyes:

Another great natural product to tighten skin under eyes is egg whites. Apply just the egg white to your puffy areas, or you can mix a few drops of lemon juice with the egg white. Beat until frothy.  This is also a great for your neck and all over your face. Let it dry for 15 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

5. Oils can prevent saggy skin under eyes:
It’s best to use these oils before you have saggy skin to prevent it. I started using an intensive eye cream in my early 20s, and I am reaping the benefits now. Even if your skin is great now, get in the habit of using an eye cream with these great ingredients. Look for a cream with shea butter, vitamin E, grape seed oil, avocado oil, or jojoba oil. All of these natural oils will help keep your skin looking great.

6. Massaging the under eye area can reduce puffiness:

Massaging helps increase circulation, which deceases puffiness and saggy skin. Massage problem areas daily with aloe vera to moisturize and tighten your skin.

7. Wear sunscreen daily to prevent under eye circles

The sun can cause premature aging and wrinkles, so use sunscreen every day.  Even in the winter or on cloudy days, the sun can cause serious damage, which causes your skin to sag and wrinkle. Wear SPF 30 or higher every day.

8. Drink water to reduce under eye circles

When you get dehydrated, your skin will not look as good as it should.  Try to drink 8 to 10 8-ounce glasses of water every day to stay hydrated.  Not only does water help keep your skin firm, but it also flushes toxins from your body.

So, do you have bulgy, sagging lids under your eyes? How about you try some of these.
What do you think?

  1. I have those and i dont think its normal! am just 27!!!!

    1. Oops! That's really something!
I suggest you check your sleep schedule and be sure you have enough sleep daily!
Secondly, how long you spend working a day can be another factor!

Studies have shown that lack of sleep and strenuous activities can also cause loose skin under your eyes aside aging!

if your sleep and work is not disturbing then I recommend you see your doctor!
