Secrets On How To Launch Your E-commerce Store To Excited Customers

I just recently started an e-commerce store and just thought to share my experience so far. Honestly, it is so exhausting and if you are not committed or your team is not strong enough, you may not see much success. If you run an e-commerce store or you are planning to start one, you may want to know some things that will help!
A lot of e-commerce stores have to wind up as they are unable to drive the required traffic to sustain their business. You will agree that finding and displaying the right products in your store is one major thing facing e-commerce store owners. Not just the right products but also a well-designed site, a stunning catalogue and compelling product photography would go a long way to make people do the purchase. Nevertheless, the exceptional thing you can try beyond these measures is to launch your store to a group of excited customers who are just waiting to know what you are offering them.

The mistake that majority of stores out there do is they do not launch their products to the right people. They just start and expect everyone to jump at everything they display! Well, for a start, here are some things to note for you to keep your audience excited about your store launch:

1. Secure The Audience Before Launching The Store: It is necessary to build your audience even before clicking a million photographs and writing clever descriptions that are optimized for the search engines. Instead of launching your store hoping that people would come, it is a crucial thing to confidently know about these people who will visit your site on the launch day. Many successful companies announced attractive offers much in advance before the launch that kept their visitors waiting eagerly.

For my store, I did a few giveaways and when I had caught the attention of a good number of people, I started putting my store in their faces. You can try anything that would work for you and get your prospective customers eagerly anticipating the store launch.
2. Start Early To Have A Pool Of Pre-Launch Audience: Much before your launch, spend considerable time meeting friends, business people and anyone else you come across who can listen to you and talk about you and what you do. Interest these people with your story and products. This group can publicly share the excitement of your launch. A few close friends I spoke with were quite enough for me and some of them even went to their social media pages to give my store a shout out. Free advertising for you! YAY!
3. Try Out Some Online Marketing: During the short period that you have before the launch of your site, you must build a contact database which must also consist some top most influential bloggers in your industry domain.

You also need to work on the day-to-day marketing tasks like sponsoring small blogs that have passionate readers, paid to advertise, split testing your landing page messages to know what worked the best, making use of the referral marketing to connect with friend networks and others you deem appropriate. Works like magic in pushing in customers to your store!
4. Secure Distribution Channels: Develop the first group of contacts that will fetch you even more number of contacts. Have a Social network that has a huge potential to spread out. Get in touch with an active group on Facebook, telegram etc. These measures can surprise you and help you get maximum results from smaller efforts. Use a spreadsheet to keep track of your confirmed distribution channels to support you while building the pre-launch list. It is alright if you cannot build this distribution list overnight.

5. Plan Your Strategies: The other useful activities that can create an impact on your mission include working with a virtual assistant, preparing your email templates well in advance, having a record of top media contacts, asking friends to make contacts, segmenting your email list and others. Through these systematic and thoughtful measures, you can see your mission take shape even as your site is just getting ready for the launch. These people would come in handy during or after your store launch.
6. Set A Launch Date: You may need to start with an MVP site or wait till every page, gadget/widget, post, plugins etc are set before launching. Whichever one you choose, have what you need in place and set a date to launch. Then begin a countdown on your social media pages (or not) and even tell customers that they may get some discount if they order ahead. Make sure you set the excitement mood and you will be surprised how people will be eagerly waiting for the day to arrive.
7. Start Officially: After the store is officially open, start sending promotional emails/messages, running ads, allowing referrals, giving discounts and all the stuff that would work to keep customers flowing to your store non-stop.

Trust me, having an e-commerce store can be a scary and non-achievable idea at first but once you start you’ll be surprised at the results you will record. What do you think?
